Skoda is launching low emission, Greenline versions of the Superb and Yeti. The models join Greenline-badged Fabias and Octavias which have been upgraded in a bid to make them more efficient.
All Greenline Skodas have stop & start plus regenerative braking systems. Engines for the Octavia, Yeti and Superb will be 1.6 litre diesels. Skoda claims the Superb Greenline will return 64.2mpg, and emit 114g/km of CO2.
Greenline Roomster and Fabia models get 1.2-litre diesels, with Skoda claiming the Fabia in this form is capable of up to 83.1mpg whilst emitting 89g/km of CO2.
Skoda is among a growing number of car makers offering eco-friendly ranges. These include Volkswagen with its Bluemotion models, Ford with its Econetic range, Vauxhall with its Ecoflex cars and Mercedes-Benz Blueefficiency-branded models.
