Kia has announced two special edition VR-7 versions of its Cee'd and Pro_cee'd hatchbacks.
On sale now, both are available as 1.4-litre models with manual gearboxes. The exteriors benefit from 16-inch alloy wheels and heated door mirrors.
Inside, there's air-con, remote central locking, front electric windows, iPod sockets and Bluetooth connectivity for mobile phones. The stereo gets tweeters, giving the cars six speakers in total.
Leather trim is added to the steering wheel, gear lever, handbrake and front arm rest.
Electronic stability control, Hill Start Assist and Vehicle Stability Management are standard on both VR-7 models, improving safety credentials.
The Kia Pro_cee'd VR-7 three-door hatchback is available from £11,695, while the Kia Cee'd VR-7 five-door hatchback starts from £11,995.
This considerably undercuts similar-sized rivals including the Ford Focus and Volkswagen Golf.
Four colours will be available - white, silver, black and grey - with the last being unique to VR-7 models and optional metallic paint will cost £415.
