A new special edition Nissan 370Z has been launched to celebrate 40 years of Nissan 'Z' cars and the company's racing heritage.

The GT Edition features uprated suspension to improve high-speed handling, darkened 19-inch alloys and side stripes. Buyers can choose between three body colours: Pearl White, Kuro (metallic black) and Black Rose. The latter colour is only available on the GT Edition.

Equipment levels are improved over the standard car with a rear-view camera and tyre-pressure monitoring. The seven-speed automatic option version now has a snow mode which starts the car off in second gear and controls engine revs to prevent wheel spin on icy surfaces. Extra sound deadening has been applied to reduce road noise.

The 370Z GT Edition is priced at £35,000 and deliveries will start in June.
