Customers looking for the ultimate motoring thrill can now buy a Nissan GT-R Track Pack - designed to make the supercar slayer even more hardcore.
From the outside the main change the £10k premium brings is a set of gloss black RAYS alloy wheels with a polished lip, which instantly give the GT-R a meaner look.
The brakes get new ducts to direct more cool air towards them, reducing their temperature by as much as 100 degrees during track use and improving their response and durability.
Inside, the rear seats have been stripped out to save weight, sacrificing some practicality for even higher performance.
The Recaro front seats are trimmed with blue bolsters and a high-grip material designed to hold occupants in place during extreme cornering and braking. A Track Pack emblem on the dashboard reminds you this is a special GT-R.
Tweaks to the suspension settings have been made to optimise the GT-R for track use, but it still offers a more comfortable setting for road driving.
The engine is unchanged, but with 542bhp and zero to 62mph taking a neck-straining 2.7 seconds, few are likely to complain about the lack of a power hike.
Add £10,000 to the list price of a standard GT-R and the total is £84,450. That's certainly a lot of money for a Nissan, but bear in mind the 530bhp Porsche 911 Turbo S starts at £125,865 and it looks like better value.
Orders are being taken at Nissan's 21 High Performance Centres around the UK and first deliveries are expected in March 2012.
