Storming 430bhp modified Audi revealed

Audi celebrates 100 years of car production this week, and it looks like MTM has brought an uninvited guest to the party. Boasting more power than Audi's own in-house road-rocket (RS4), the MTM-tuned Audi S4 has been beaten with a big horsepower stick to produce 430bhp and 380lb/ft of pulling power.

This means the supercharged 3-litre V6 engine produces more power than a certain BMW M3 with 'just' 400bhp…

MTM has installed something called an 'M-Cantronic' system, together with adjustable sports suspension and monster brakes. The result? A scarcely believable 0-62mph time of 4.7 seconds – which is just 0.1 second slower than the 572bhp Audi RS6. No word on top speed, but we wouldn't bet against it topping 160mph.

The MTM Audi S4 comes with four-wheel-drive as standard and a six-speed box, and should be an absolute beast to drive. We road-tested the standard Audi S4 and our man found it to be massively stable, grippy…and quick.

MTM is so chuffed with its 430bhp conversion, it reckons the modded motor "becomes a real athlete's heart after the MTM treatment – with this you are also allowed to challenge the bigger RS models with their V8 engines".

To celebrate Audi's 100th birthday, we've rounded up some other modified Ingolstadt motors.
