Chocolates, bath crystals, maybe even a trip to Paris - there are plenty of things to buy your other half for her 24th birthday.
But millionaire footballer Stephen Ireland has shown his love for girlfriend Jessica Lawlor by splashing out on a Bentley Continental GTC.
Except this isn't any old Bentley - the Man City midfielder has spent £260,000 getting the once classy convertible turned into one of the most outrageous cars ever.
The 202mph GTC has been fitted with a new white bodykit with a red line running along the wing while the red and black alloys are what you might describe as 'out-there'.
Ireland hasn't left the interior alone either, specifying red and white leather seats with the driver's seat having the words 'To Jess Love From Stephen' stitched into the headrest.
However, the worst modification has to be the car's badges. The famous Bentley 'B' has been replaced with the WAG's initials JL - this really is a car for life, we can't see it fetching much on the used market unless Jennifer Lopez is looking for a change in wheels.
While we can't say we're massive fans of the styling, it appears to have been carried out to a very high standard. And fair play to Ireland who's clearly pleased his missus with the gift.
