The Skoda Octavia estate, Octavia Scout and Superb ranges have been boosted with a new four-wheel drive option.
Skoda has combined a DSG automatic gearbox and a four-wheel drive system with its 140bhp 2-litre TDI CR diesel engine.
The cars are now capable of returning an average fuel economy of between 45mpg and 48mpg, which Skoda claims is minimally affected by the four-wheel drive system as power to the rear wheels is disconnected during normal driving.
The DSG gearbox makes for super-quick changes, and can be left in automatic or controlled via steering wheel-mounted paddles.
The new option is available now and starting prices range from £21,705 for the Octavia to £24,230 for the Superb estate in 4x4 trim.
