A revamped Volvo C70 four-seater convertible will be unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show this month. It's the first time the folding-hard top has been redesigned since it was launched in 2006 - and its design changes bring it in line with the look of the latest Volvo models.
A new nose gives the C70 a bolder face - taking its inspiration from the S60 concept car unveiled earlier in the year. The headlamps are new too, and their upright positioning surrounds a larger grille which further adds to the stronger presence of the facelifted model.
At the rear the big change is the new LED light clusters, which give the car a more up-to-date image and help improve safety by lighting up faster and more brightly than taillights with conventional bulbs. The choice of 'Flamenco Red Pearl' paint completes the exterior updates.
Inside, the biggest change is the new instrument panel, which is wider and better finished than before. The seats have been given some attention too, and now come fitted with softer leather upholstery.
Two petrol and two diesel engines will be available. The 2.0D offers 134bhp and 158g/km CO2 emissions, while the D5 unit produces 178bhp and 174g/km. The two petrol units are a 2.4 unit (168bhp, 215g/km) while the T5 has 227bhp and produces 209g/km of CO2.
