These are the first pictures of the all-new Jeep Grand Cherokee, which is slated for a 2011 launch in the UK.
The latest version of the iconic American SUV delivers "true duality: ultimate Jeep off-road capability and on-road refinement for a premium driving experience", according to the car maker.
Specific information is scarce, but highlights will include a choice of three 4x4 systems, air suspension and variable settings to optimise off-road ability depending on terrain.
Additionally, it has a towing capacity of more than 3,300kgs, independent front and rear suspension and a stiffer body.
For the US market, the Jeep Grand Cherokee will feature an all-new 3.6-litre V6 petrol engine that returns 27.6mpg, but it's likely a version of the current model's Mercedes-derived 3-litre diesel will be an option for the UK.
Although no UK prices have been announced, it is expected to be priced slightly lower than the outgoing model.
