The Chevrolet Captiva SUV has been given a new look and fitted with more powerful and efficient engines.
Its nose now features a much lower and bolder grille, split horizontally by a body-coloured bar and large Chevrolet badge.
A re-sculpted bonnet, prism-style headlights, new wing vents and LED door-mirror indicators add to the changes to the front of the Captiva.
Three new engines will be available, mated to a manual or automatic six-speed gearbox. Two power outputs of 163 or 184bhp will be offered from a 2.2-litre diesel, while a 2.4-litre petrol will give 171bhp. Improved sound proofing should also give the latest Captiva better refinement.
Inside, there's the choice of five or seven seats, all finished in new fabrics. The dashboard gets the "dual-cockpit" style of the Chevrolet Cruze and gauges have blue back lighting.
The stereo gets AUX and USB inputs for portable music devices and Bluetooth connectivity for mobile phones and an electric handbrake with Hill Start Assist, freeing up space between the front seats.
September's Paris Motor Show will see the debut of the Captiva, which will be in showrooms in Spring 2011.
