The Maserati GranCabrio will go on sale from £95,630 when it hits UK roads in April 2010. It made its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September and is the first four-seat convertible to be produced at the Viale Ciro Menotti Maserati factory.
Powered by the 4.7-litre V8 engine from Maserati's GranTurismo S, the GranCabrio can go from 0-62mph in 5.2 seconds and hit a top speed of 175mph.
It also features a retractable soft-top roof, six-speed automatic gearbox and 440bhp beneath the bonnet. Maserati claims it has the longest wheelbase of any convertible, with a distance of 2,492mm between the front and back wheels - which should mean good rear legroom.
Buyers will have the option to personalise their car with a selection of exterior colours, soft-top shades, leather interiors and dashboard finishes to choose from.
Maserati is also offering a four-piece leather luggage set as an option, which it says fits "perfectly" into the boot.
It goes head-to-head with the Ferrari California, Audi R8 Spyder and Jaguar XKR convertible. Orders for the Maserati GranCabrio are being taken now for delivery in April 2010.
