Suzuki has launched a limited edition version of its Swift supermini. The new Swift SZ-L is based on the five-door GL model but comes with a host of equipment upgrades. This includes air-conditioning, pearlescent or metallic paint, 15-inch alloys and heated door mirrors.
Powered by a 1.3-litre engine developing 90bhp, the SZ-L can accelerate from 0-62mph in 11 seconds and hit 109mph. Insurance group 4 should ensure reasonable premiums while an average fuel economy of 48.7mpg should help keep running costs down. With emissions of 140g/km, the SZ-L costs £120 a year to tax.
Auto Trader has had a Suzuki Swift Sport on loan for the past seven months and we've been very impressed with the micro hot hatch. Besides the entertainingly handling and nippy performance, the Swift has proven to be a practical car too with plenty of room for four adults thanks to its high roofline.
The Suzuki Swift SZ-L, which is limited to a 500 production run, costs £10,250.
