A Lexus LFA has been spotted for the first time on UK roads. In what is probably the best use of Twitter yet, a Lexus insider has tweeted pictures of the £336,000 Lexus LFA supercar as it visited the marque's workshop in Milton Keynes, fills-up at a petrol station and gawped at by passers-by.

The insider was accompanying the supercar on a photoshoot when he decided to document the occasion on the social media site.

The 4.8-litre V10 Lexus LFA can rev to 9,000rpm, go from 0-62mph in 3.7 seconds and hit a top speed of 202mph. All courtesy of an eye watering £336,000 price tag - that's £142k more expensive than the V12 Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano and almost £119k more than the Lamborghini Murcielago LP640.

A massive 65 per cent of the body is constructed from plastic reinforced with carbon fibre, which adds to the cost of the car.

The remaining body is wrought from aluminium alloy to minimise weight. The result is a supercar which weighs 1,480kg - roughly the same as a Ford Focus.

The LFA supercar was first unveiled in concept form at the 2005 Detroit motor show and has been in development for almost a decade.
