Entry-level models are well equipped with a seven-speed automatic gearbox, xenon headlights, a reversing camera, electric seat adjustment and a hard-disk drive sound system all fitted as standard.
M37 GT gets heated leather seats and White Ash wood trim for a £2,500 premium. The sportier M37S starts from £39,650 and adds four-wheel steering, sports suspension, sports seats, gearshift paddles and 20-inch alloy wheels.
Premium versions of the GT (from £43,000) and S (from £45,000) come with efficiency-boosting Eco Pedal - which 'pushes back' the accelerator if driving too aggressively - a 16-speaker Bose sounds system and Infiniti's Connectiviti+ information system with 30GB HDD navigation.
It also features Forest Air - a climate control system which is said to "recreates the gentle breezes and subtle scents of an environment known to promote alertness and relieve stress".
An M30d diesel is due in October, but you'll have to wait until spring 2011 for the M35 hybrid version.
The new Infiniti M37 is on sale now, available from the inaugural Infiniti Centre in Reading and its European website. Three new Infiniti Centres are due to open in Central London, Birmingham and Glasgow before the end of this year.
