Honda has unleashed the world's coolest - and scariest - Super GT racer on earth: the HSV-010 GT. The super-sexy GT racer will compete in the GT500 class of the 2010 Super GT Series, racing against the monster Nissan GT-R GT500.
The HSV-010 (short for Honda Sports Velocity) racer features a 3.4-litre naturally-aspirated V8 engine developing "500bhp or more" and 290lb/ft of pulling power.
Honda said no performance figures have been verified for the beast, but with a kerb weight of just 1,100kg (less than a Ford Fiesta), expect a 0-62mph time of around three seconds or less.
The GT racer is built on a bespoke platform - Honda told us "a one-off" - and features a sequential six-speed box with steering wheel mounted paddles sending those 500 horses to the rear-wheels.
While this 'one-off' will debut in the 2010 GT Series, we're politely asking Honda to make this beast a production car. What with the demise of the superb Honda NSX, there's definitely space for a Japanese supercar to take on the mighty Lexus LF-A.
We're pretty sure this thing is probably cheaper than an LF-A too…
