Honda has given its big selling Civic a series of styling upgrades. The distinctive five-door has a revised black front grille, inspired by the now-deleted Type-R performance version. This replaces the clear plastic section that distinguished the car when it was first launched.
Other re-styling changes include revised side skirts. The Civic in 1.4-litre form has also been equipped with newly-designed 16-inch alloy wheels. Cars equipped with 1.8-litre petrol engines get freshly-designed 17-inch wheels.
Inside there have been revisions to trim materials.
The current Civic, sold in three- and five-door forms was a radical styling departure from its predecessor. It competes against models including the Volkswagen Golf, Vauxhall Astra, Ford Focus, Toyota Auris and Alfa Romeo Giulietta.
