Honda has unveiled a more aggressively styled Civic Type R, courtesy of its tuning division Mugen. The Honda Civic Type R Mugen 200 has been inspired by last year's full Mugen Civic Type R, which was limited to 20 units and cost £38,599 each.
As the name suggests, the new model will be limited to 200 units and is powered by the Type R's 198bhp 2-litre i-VTEC engine.
It might miss out on a power increase but styling additions include new front and rear bumpers, exclusive 19-inch alloys, gloss black door mirrors, 'championship white' paint and Mugen limited edition numbered plaque and badges.
A limited-slip differential is fitted as standard and a range of tuning parts to alter the chassis dynamics is available as an option.
The new Honda Civic Type R Mugen will go on sale in April. Prices will be revealed next month when the order books open.
