No one knows excess more than Mansory. If it's an expensive car, they will have a go at it, even modifying the car no one else has had the guts to - the Bugatti Veyron or Linea Vincero as they renamed it.
Mansory chose Frankfurt to debut its pink and black Bentley Continental GT and face-lifted Porsche Cayenne-based Mansory Chopster. But the company's most impressive debut was its Aston Martin DBS-based 'Cyrus' which looks like a cross between the DB9 and One-77 - with masses of carbon fibre and a price tag of £350k plus the donor car.
Hamann is also well known for its motor show showboating and they didn't disappoint in Frankfurt. The Mercedes SLR-based Volcano features a massive spoiler, rear diffuser and red and black paintjob. Quality finish but utterly tasteless.
Other Hamann models include an odd Lamborghini Gallardo with scissor doors and covered in strange warning signs and fake rivets plus an X6 decked out in zebra stripes.
Techart took it easy, going with a white theme for its Cayenne and 911 models whereas Brabus showcased its latest hyper-saloon - the E V12 Black Baron.
Based on the E-Class with a twin-turbocharged V12 engine now developing 800bhp, the Black Baron is capable of 0-62mph in 3.7 seconds and a claimed top speed of 230mph. The rear wheels are covered - we'd like to think Brabus was inspired by the first generation Honda Insight.
It's near enough guaranteed everyone will hate you for driving one of these but if you can afford the £530,000 you probably couldn't care less.
