Some people just can't be pleased can they? With 300bhp and fantastic handling, the Ford Focus RS is one of the greatest hot hatches of all time. But this isn't enough for Ford RS specialist Graham Goode Racing which has turned its arm to the über Focus.

For just £435, GGR will chip the Ford's 2.5-litre engine, increasing the number of horses from 300bhp to 340bhp and pulling power from 325lb/ft to 397lb/ft. We like, a lot.

There are no performance figures but expect the 'RS 340' to be considerably quicker to 62mph than the standard car's 5.9 seconds and better its 163mph top speed.

The performance upgrade has a 12-month / 30,000-mile breakdown warranty.

Leicester-based GGR, which was founded in 1976, is renowned for its work on fast Fords, having modified the likes of the Escort Cosworth and Focus ST. So it was only a matter of time before they started tuning the RS – and this is just the start with GGR currently working on additional levels of power upgrades.

The performance upgrade is available now from Graham Goode Racing Ltd.
