SEAT is taking the uncertainty out of servicing costs with the launch of a fixed-price servicing plan.
The "It's Fixed!" scheme covers SEATs between three and ten years old, and says it will ensure dealer quality at 'local garage' prices.
SEAT dealers will begin offering the fixed-price service programme from December 1, meaning a minor service will cost £129, including parts, labour and VAT regardless of the model involved. Additional service items such as pollen filters, spark plugs and fully synthetic oil are also included at no additional charge.
Major services are priced at £249 and MoT tests are £39.
It's Fixed! replaces the current service schedule where prices vary depending on the age and mileage of the car which makes it difficult for buyers to budget for their servicing.
The scheme also incorporates a range of maintenance jobs at easy-to-understand fixed prices including air conditioning service (£69), brake pad replacement (£99), cambelt change (£299) and alloy wheel refurbishment (£59).
All parts and labour are covered by a two-year warranty and every service includes 12 months' breakdown cover including Home Start, itself worth up to £240.
