This year's Goodwood Festival of Speed is set to be even more thrilling than ever with the introduction of the Moving Motor Show on Thursday July 1.
Billed as the new British motor show, a limited number of ticket holders will get the opportunity to not only see but also ride in some of the hottest new cars from around 25 manufacturers including BMW, Jaguar, Porsche and Rolls-Royce.
The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, Alfa Romeo Giulietta, Volvo S60, MG6, and Peugeot RCZ will make their UK debuts. Tickets for the Thursday cost £20.
The Festival of Speed proper starts on Friday July 2 where, for three days, Lord March's front garden becomes petrol head nirvana.
For many the biggest draw is seeing rare, exotic and unimaginably valuable racing cars from past and present blast up the narrow 1.16-mile driveway in front of Goodwood House and on the specially build rally stage. But there's plenty to see away from the action too.
The new McLaren MP4-12C will take pride of place as it makes its world debut in the supercar paddock. It will sit amongst a throng of Ferraris, Porsches, Lamborghinis, Bugattis and every other bedroom poster car you can think of.
The Concours d'Elegance brings together the world's most beautiful cars together on the lawns of the West Sussex estate, while the Wacky Racers are always a hit amongst younger visitors.
But it's the stars as much as the cars that makes the Festival of Speed such a unique event. From old-timers such as Sir Stirling Moss through to the latest Formula 1 and WRC drivers bumping into your hero becomes the norm.
