Eurodisney, Alton Towers and Legoland are all about to lose out as the dream holiday destination for any car-loving kid or big kid to Ferrari World.

Ferrari is throwing the doors open to a brand new theme park dedicated to the company symbolised by a prancing horse and famous for its illustrious history of thoroughbred Italian performance cars

But instead of opening its existing factory, Willy Wonka-style, Ferrari World is going to be based in Abu Dhabi rather than at its natural home in Maranello, Italy.

Possibly reflecting where most Ferrari owners and enthusiasts are likely to live in the years to come, the new theme park is being built on Yas Island, next to the Yas Marina circuit, which hosted last weekend's Grand Prix.

Although the park will be themed around cars, the star attraction will be what is claimed to be the world's fastest rollercoaster.

Ever wanted to know what Jenson, Rubens and Lewis feel like when flying around the track at 200kph? Ferrari World says this ride will replicate the mind-blowing experience they go through as part of their daily job.

Another ride promises to put passengers through an extreme G-force experience as it goes 62m up - through the centre's roof and back down again.

Other attractions include racing simulators, a flume ride through a 599 engine plus driving and racing schools for younger drivers.

It will also play host to two restaurants, two large Ferrari shops, and the largest Ferrari logo ever created - a 65m symbol located on the roof.
