It seems footballer Emmanuel Adebayor may be looking at a new career as a pirate judging by his car. The Manchester City striker turned up for training in a Range Rover Sport bearing a skull and cross bones badge on the bonnet.

It's also got a new mesh grille, bodykit, alloy wheels and two black stripes running along the centre of the bodywork.

The supercharged Range Rover Sport has been prepared by London Motor Museum which has more than 100 classic cars at its premises in Hayes, Middlesex.

Togo star Adebayor, who signed for big-spending City at the start of the season, was one of three players to turn up for training in interesting motors.

Teammate Shaun Wright-Philips was behind the wheel of a matt black Bentley Continental GTC with matching black alloys.

Nedum Onuoha arrived in the sexiest car of the lot - a black Maserati Gran Turismo. He's a fringe player who's just turned 23 by the way.

It was training as normal for the rest of the team with most players arriving for training in standard Bentleys and Mercedes.

Onuoha's classy Maserati is a far cry from fellow 23-year-old City star Stephen Ireland who, while not in these latest pictures, has the wildest taste of any premiership footballer.

Besides having owned an Overfinch Range Rover with pink alloys and a blue-lined Audi R8, Ireland hit the news in October when he bought his girlfriend an outrageously customised Bentley Continental GTC.
