Citroen revises C4 Picasso MPVs

Citroen has given its C4 Picasso and Grand Picasso models a range of styling and mechanical upgrades. The cars will reach British showrooms in October.
Changes include redesigned front and tail lamp clusters plus changes to chrome and brightwork, with the option of black roof and windscreen pillars.
Inside, the cars have been given revised trim materials, and a round of design upgrades, like USB socket and Bluetooth facilities. Redesigned alloy wheels feature on Exclusive versions.
Citroen's eTouch SIM card-based facility, which either automatically or manually calls emergency services in the event of an accident, and can provide advice to drivers on elements like service intervals and economical driving techniques, is also being offered on these cars.
Other changes, depending on the model, include folding electric door mirrors and rear parking sensors.
Some 110bhp 1.6 HDi-engined versions are also being fitted with a second-generation stop & start system with a high-speed re-starting facility, and reversible alternator which recovers energy during braking. These models can be specified with a self-shifting, six-speed EGS transmission.
In this guise, wearing e-HDi badges, the C4 Picasso returns 58.9mpg, whilst the C4 Grand Picasso achieves 57.6mpg. CO2 output ranges from 125 to 132g/km.
There will also be 1.6-litre petrol and 2.0-litre diesel versions. The latter can be ordered with a six-speed automatic transmission.
Prices range from just under £18,000 to £24,595.
