The Honda Jazz has been declared the least depreciating car in Britain. It's at the head of a pack of sensible superminis and city cars, which are all similarly inexpensive to buy as the Honda Jazz and in high demand on the used car market.
In stark contrast, expensive supercars and luxury limousines are losing money at a startling rate, according to the annual survey by Parker's.
While a Honda Jazz in good condition is said to depreciate by just £1,379 after 12 months and 10,000 miles, Parker's claims a Maybach 62 limousine will lose its owner £127,526 in the same period. The best performers of 2009:
