For those of you who can't bear the sight of the new BMW M3 but still want a healthy dose of M power - we've found the solution.

Buy a previous generation E46 M3 and give it to Kneißler Autotechnik (we can't pronounce it) who will supercharge the super-coupe.

The E46's 3.2-litre straight six engine develops 343bhp and 269/lb/ft as standard but hand the car and £11,500 over to KA and they'll boost the Beemer to 459bhp and 367lb/ft.

That's 40bhp more than the new M3 which will accelerate from 0-62mph in 4.8 seconds and hit a limited top speed of 155mph.

KA hasn't said what the supercharged E46 will do but it should be slightly quicker than today's M3 - and without the electronic limiter too we'd imagine.

A 2002 E46 BMW M3 will set you back around £10,000 so after paying for the conversion you've got a 459bhp super-coupe for less than £22,500.

If you've got a narrow parking space, Kneißler Autotechnik is also offering a conversion for those boring old doors, turning it into a Lambo-mimicking gullwing.
