Modify a Porsche 911 Turbo and you might as well wait for the men in white coats – because it will be really quick. But that hasn't stopped one Swiss tuner from turning the 480bhp road rocket into an 848bhp tyre-shredding monster. Enter the Sportec SPR1 T80.
Speaking to Auto Trader, Sportec's Ed Jackson said: "We take the Porsche 911 Turbo, strip it to its shell and then rebuild it from the ground up to our client's bespoke specification". And part of that specification includes a fire-breathing 3.6-litre 'boxer' style engine which punches out 858bhp and a knockout 643lb/ft of pulling power.
To put it into perspective, Sportec helpfully explains exactly how that power is quantified, saying it's "akin to having a Volkswagen Golf GTI powering each tyre." So with a GTI stuck on each wheel, the Sportec Porker sprints from 0-62mph in just three seconds and will shoot on to a top speed of more than 236mph, which is dangerously close to Bugatti Veyron territory.
The Sportec gets carbon ceramic brakes, carbon-fibre and Kevlar body panels, forged 20-inch alloy wheels, and the all-important leather interior.
