BMW is the most popular manufacturer in the UK, with more than 430 million used car searches on Auto Trader.

BMW topped the list out of more than five billion searches on Auto Trader between 2004 and 2010.

During this period, the BMW 3-Series was searched for more than 171 million times, making it the most popular model in the UK. The 5-Series also made it into the top 10 with just over 62 million searches.

Ford scored second place with just over 387 million searches, followed by Volkswagen in third position with more than 383 million.
