The BMW 3-Series is the most wanted used car with more than 171 million searches on Auto Trader between January 2004 and July 2010.

The 3-Series was the most popular car out of a total of more than five billion searches, according to research conducted by Auto Trader.

The Volkswagen Golf came a close second with more than 163 million searches, followed by the Ford Focus in third with more than 93 million used car searches.
