Prices for the next-generation BMW 1 Series have been announced ahead of its September 17 on-sale date.
Starting at £19,375 for the 116 ES model, prices go up to £24,720 for the 120d with Sport or Urban trim.
We expect the 118d to be a strong seller thanks to average fuel economy of 62.8mpg, emissions of 118g/km of CO2 and zero to 62mph in 8.9 seconds. It will cost £22,030 in SE trim and £23,270 in Sport and Urban trim.
With average fuel economy of 74.3mpg and tax-free emissions of 99g/km of CO2, the BMW 116d Efficient Dynamics model could be worth waiting for, as it isn't available at launch, but will be in the coming months.
Standard equipment for all BMW 1 Series includes start and stop, 16-inch alloy wheels, four airbags, radio and CD player, air-con, 60:40 folding rear seats, ISOFIX fittings and a leather steering wheel.
SE specification adds a 6.5-inch screen and iDrive controller, Bluetooth, USB connection, multi-function steering wheel and speed limiting function.
Sport upgrades the alloys to 17-inches and adds a dark chrome exhaust pipe, black grille, air intake surrounds, rear bumper trim, sports seats, sports steering wheel and enhanced interior trim.
Urban trim features a different style of 17-inch wheel, chrome grille, cloth and leather seats and an interior trim in black or white.
