Prices for the Audi R8 Spyder have been announced, set at £111,955 for the six-speed manual version and £117,155 for the semi-automatic R tronic.

The Audi R8 Spyder will hit the UK market in Spring and is powered by a 518bhp 5.2-litre engine. This means the soft-top supercar is capable of sprinting from 0 to 62mph in 4.1 seconds and on to a top speed of 197mph.

The supercar's bespoke body incorporates additional weight-saving carbon fibre panels as well as a fully automatic lightweight fabric hood.

The Audi R8 Spyder is the marque's most expensive and exotic motor to date and, even in brown, it looks good. The R8 Spyder is a tempting proposition for anyone thinking the Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder is too aggressive and the Ferrari California too pretty.
