Meet the UK's newest automotive hero - the £320,000 Arash AF-10 supercar. With more than a shade of Ferrari Enzo about it and a price tag to match, the Arash AF-10 will come with an engine producing 550bhp.

But the company is reportedly working on a twin-supercharged 'super' AF-10 model set to make its debut next year.

Speaking to Auto Trader, company founder Arash Farboud said: "We're working on a high-performance model which should produce between 1,200bhp and 1,300bhp, which will cost around £1.6 million".

For now we'll have to make do with this - the standard Arash AF-10. The car, designed and built on the outskirts of Cambridge, has been in development ever since the Arash first came into existence in 2006.

It's powered by a 7-litre Corvette V8 engine lifted from the fire-breathing Z06 supercar, producing 550bhp and 475lb/ft of pulling power.

No performance figures have been made available, but we reckon the AF-10's carbon, aluminium honeycomb and nomex body coupled to a six-speed manual 'Graziano' gearbox will mean a 0-62mph of around 3.5 seconds. Arash claims the AF-10 will hit 205mph flat out.

So far 15 orders have been placed for the Arash AF-10, with production planned for around 20 to 30 units per year over the next five years.
