British car maker Noble has officially released pictures of its new car, the M600. The new car is aiming to take the company in a new direction, with the price tag expected to be around a whopping £200,000.

The 650bhp supercar will cost more than twice what any Noble has to date – the M12 GTO 3 could be bought for less than £50,000.

Reported figures suggest the new Noble will be worth the higher price. It will be powered by a 4.4-litre V8 engine that should reach 60mph in 3.0 seconds. 100mph is claimed to be possible in 6.5 seconds and the M600 will keep going to a 225mph top speed.

Noble is staying away from the computer-assisted line of technology, preferring to concentrate on the "analogue qualities of design". "Computer generated support can often cosmetically mask and flatter inferior chassis and handling characteristics," said a spokesman for Noble.

The first cars are expected to make their way to owners as soon as November, while a version will appear in the flesh at the Goodwood Revival from 19-21 September.
