For those who find the standard BMW Z4 a little limp, BMW Motorsport has just announced this, the Z4 GT3. With a BMW M3 based 4-litre V8, the Z4 GT3 produces 480bhp, which is sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed sequential gearbox.
On the outside, wild aerodynamic additions and flared wheel arches make this considerably harder looking than any Z4 before. The huge rear spoiler and complex rear diffuser are particularly eye-catching.
However, before you hot-foot it down to your local BMW dealer hoping to park one on your drive, there is a catch - the Z4 GT3 is only available as a racing car.
The Z4 GT3 is built to compete in the FIA GT3 championship as well as various 24-hour endurance races against rivals such as the Porsche GT3 RSR. BMW Motorsport will sell you one for a cool €289,000 (around £272,000), plus extra if you'd like air conditioning.
