An ultra-powerful Alpina B3 S Bi-Turbo has now gone on sale in UK, from £49,250. Alpina's 'baby-M3' - which debuted at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show - has acquired the company's distinctive 19-inch alloys, a redesigned front spoiler and a new rear diffuser which encloses the tailpipes, reducing lift and ensuring optimum engine cooling.
It is powered by BMW's 3-litre straight six engine, which has been tuned to return 395bhp (40 more than the outgoing model) and 398lb/ft of pulling power, deliver 0-62 in 4.7 seconds and a top speed of 186mph.
This has been combined with new improved efficiency, which means it can do 29.1 miles on every gallon of fuel and emit 224g/km of CO2.
The B3 is available as a saloon, estate, coupe and the pictured convertible, which will set you back £55,250.
First deliveries of the B3 S Bi-Turbo will start in July, available from the UK concessionaire Sytner.
