A Veyron-spanking modified Lamborghini Murcielago has been revealed by a US-based tuning company. Heffner Performance has decided that the standard Murcielago with its limp-wristed 630bhp is not mad enough. So in its infinite wisdom - and 11 years' worth of modding experience - the Florida tuner has strapped on two almighty turbochargers to the Lambo's 6.5-litre V12 engine.
And it really is a case of 'padded-cell' time, because this Heffner Murcielago produces an epic 1,100bhp - more than the Bugatti Veyron. As though speaking about a legendary event, the tuners posted this on their website: "As of August 2009 we have tuned the car up to 1 bar of boost which resulted in just over 1,100bhp".
Heffner hasn't released details on the 0-62mph time or indeed the modded Murci's top speed, but the in-gear acceleration time is a telling indication of just how badly this thing is likely to rip your face off. A standard 580bhp Murcielago takes 9.5 seconds to accelerate from 60mph to 130mph. The Heffner tuned Lambo takes just five seconds.
They reckon "with a little more boost it will dip into the four second range for sure". Bet you never realised you could lose your licence so quickly…
