Volkswagen is offering drivers more equipment and value for money on its popular and versatile 7-seat compact MPV - the Touran Match. Key features include a multifunction steering wheel, iPod connectivity and a new RNS310 satellite navigation system, all as standard.
Perfect parallel parking is easy in the Touran. The sensor-controlled Park Assist system lets you take your hands off the wheel while it steers you safely and smoothly into your chosen space. All you have to do is work the pedals.
Outside, the Match gains new 16-inch 'Perth' alloy wheels, a matt finish front grille, smoked lens covers on the front and rear lights and 65 per cent tinted glass from the back B-pillar.
These additional items join the Touran's already comprehensive list of standard features such as Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Stabilisation Programme (ESP), front, side and rear passenger airbags, semi-automatic air conditioning and cruise control.
The Match is available with a range of petrol and diesel engines, including the 1.4-litre TSI 140 PS petrol engine and two 2.0-litre TDI units (140 or 170 PS). Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual gearbox and Volkswagen's acclaimed dual-clutch gearbox (DSG) which offers faster, smoother gear changes and sporty handling.
If you're looking for a cleaner, more fuel-efficient drive, the 1.9-litre TDI BlueMotion model returns an impressive 52.3 mpg and emits just 144g/km of CO2. That puts it into tax band F which means you pay just £125 in car tax per year. Prices start from £20,525 and the Match is available to order now.
