The ultimate Ferrari garage?

If we had to design our dream garage it would probably look something like Holger Schubert's. Set in the hills of Bretwood, California overlooking the Pacific coast, Schubert's Modernist villa is spectacular enough in its own right. However, with the addition of a parking space for his beloved 1984 Ferrari 512 BBi in the corner of the lounge, it's about as close to petrol-head perfection as it gets.

We're not the only ones to think so either - the design recently won the award title of 'best garage in the world' from Italian sports car manufacturer, Maserati. Built at a cost of a cool $1.5m, this garage probably one of the most expensive too.

Unfortunately for Schubert, his neighbours are less keen on his house-trained Ferrari. A number of residents have complained that the bridge which leads to the house is a safety risk and he is now being asked by Los Angeles officials to tear it down. We think they might just be a little jealous.
