It all started in 1993 when Lord March wanted to bring back motor racing to Goodwood. But while he couldn't get the Goodwood racing circuit for the event, he did a Blue Peter special and decided to hold it in his own back yard…which just happens to be massive.
Originally attracting up to around 30,000 people, the Goodwood Festival of Speed now caters for more than 150,000 petrolheads. And the show itself is a showcase of hot new metal, stunning vintage racers, madcap concept cars and of course, all manner of celebrities.
